My name is Olivia and I am an Adelaide based photographer. I specialize in Weddings and Portraits of all sorts.
I began experimenting with film photography at fifteen in class at high school. At the end of the year, I received my first compact camera. I mostly took landscapes with this camera but continued my studies at high school too.
Mid-2006, I did work experience at a studio as part of my curriculum. From there I started being interested in portrait photography and turning photography into my career. At the end of 2007, I got a semi-SLR camera to experiment with. Shortly after I began shooting portraits and weddings.
By the end of 2008, I got a DSLR and began turning my photography into a business. Taking on more client work, weddings and furthering my studies.
With digital SLR camera technology, it allows me to take complete control of the "darkroom process" ensuring the best quality as well as adding my own artistic flair in the images I create.
I now use the latest professional high resolution digital equipment with photoshop software to produce the finest quality images. I have developed a real passion for creating unique and beautiful images that I hope you will enjoy.
Up until 2008 in my digital work, I was self-taught. I read books and researched online, then experimented with my camera.
I now study at the Centre of Creative Photography here in Adelaide to receive my Cert.4 in Photo Imaging. I will then go on to study for my Diploma.
Studying for my Certificate includes working with film and digital photography as well as in the darkroom and studio.
For starting out photographers looking at studying soon, I highly recommend it!
In 2007, I entered one of my photographs in the 'Nikon Hot Shots Competition' and it received 'Highly Commended Top 100' out of over 1,000 entries.
